Frequently asked questions

How does booking work?

Open the app, drop a pin where you want the shoot, choose how long you need and what kind of shoot it is, and confirm. A nearby online photographer accepts your request and you can watch them head to you on the map with an ETA. When they finish the shoot you approve payment in the app (or it is charged automatically 10 minutes later), and they upload your photos to the booking during or after the shoot. You can book for right now, or schedule from 30 minutes to 5 days ahead. If nobody accepts, the request expires and you pay nothing.

How much does it cost?

Each photographer sets a standard hourly rate ($40 to $300/hr), shown on their profile; booking someone from their profile uses their rate. A request for the nearest photographer uses the ShuttrGo rate: $10 per 10 min for the first hour, then $40/hr. Time in the first hour is rounded up to the next 10-minute block, and time after that is prorated by the minute. Bookings run from 10 minutes to 4 hours. Bookings for right now add a $8 rush fee. Clients also pay a service fee of 5% of the price plus $1.50, which covers card processing. The full total is always shown before you pay, and it is final unless you accept a new price in the app: if nobody accepts your request, the app may offer the lowest standard rate among photographers within 10 miles, and you can accept it or cancel for free.

Example at the ShuttrGo rate: a 30-minute shoot booked for right now is $30.00 plus the $8.00 rush fee, plus a $3.40 service fee, so $41.40.

When is my card charged?

When you book, your card is authorized and the money is held. When the photographer finishes the shoot, you have 10 minutes to approve payment (and add a tip if you like) or tap Dispute. If you do nothing, your card is charged automatically 10 minutes after the shoot. If no photographer accepts, the hold is released. Payments are processed by Stripe; ShuttrGo never sees your full card number.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel for free until a photographer accepts. After that, it is free to cancel up to an hour after a photographer accepts, or until one hour before your shoot, whichever comes first (for a booking for right now, that is as soon as they accept). After that, a $10 cancellation fee applies. The booking screen shows when free cancellation ends. If a photographer cancels or does not show up, you are refunded in full and pay no fee.

Can I tip my photographer?

Yes. When you approve payment at the end of the shoot you can pick a tip (10%, 15%, 20% of what you paid, or a custom amount up to $500), or add one later from the completed booking. 100% of your tip goes to your photographer. It is charged separately to the card you booked with.

How do photographers get paid?

Photographers set their own standard rate in Settings → Your rate and keep 75% of the price (including any rush fee) at whichever rate the job was booked at, plus 100% of tips. Payouts go through Stripe Connect: set up payouts once in Settings → Payouts (Stripe verifies your identity and bank details). When you tap Finish shoot, the client has 10 minutes to approve; if they do not respond the card is charged automatically. Either way your share is then transferred to your Stripe account. If the client disputes within that window, the payout is held while support reviews it. Stripe then pays out to your bank on its schedule (usually 2 business days; instant payout is available in Stripe for a small fee).

Something went wrong with my shoot

When the shoot ends, tap Dispute on the booking screen within 10 minutes, before the payment is approved or charged automatically. The booking is put on hold, your card is not charged automatically, the photographer’s payout is held and our team reviews it. Changed your mind? Tap Cancel dispute and pay while it is open; you get another 10 minutes to approve. After the payment is processed, email us. You can also email support@psupro.com with your booking number. See section 10 of the Terms.

How do I report or block someone?

Tap … on their profile, in the chat, or next to their name on a booking, then choose Report or Block. Reports are private and our team reviews every one. Blocked users cannot book or message you, and you will not see each other’s requests. Unblock anytime in Settings → Blocked users. In an emergency, call 911 first.

How long are my photos kept?

Delivered photos stay in the app for 90 days after the booking is completed, then they are deleted. Download the ones you want to keep before then.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. Or email support@psupro.com and we will do it for you. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Where is ShuttrGo available, and who can use it?

ShuttrGo is available in many countries, and all prices are in US dollars. Photographers can receive payouts only where Stripe Connect payouts are available to them (currently US accounts, with more countries being added). You must be 18 or older. Photographers are independent professionals, not ShuttrGo employees; licensed and insured badges are self-reported unless marked verified.

Why does ShuttrGo use my location?

To find photographers near you and set the shoot location. Photographers who are online also share their location, including in the background, so they get nearby jobs and clients can see them arrive; tracking stops when they go offline. See the Privacy Policy.
